Pascrell Lauds Approval of Emergency Communications Funding for Wayne Township

PATERSON-- U.S. Rep. Bill Pascrell, Jr. (D-NJ-08) today announced that the House Committee on Appropriations approved $300,000 for Wayne Township to improve its emergency communications capabilities. 

The funding will allow Wayne Township to replace its current twenty-five year old radio system with new interoperable radio and communications system.  The funding was included as a line item by Pascrell in the Justice Department’s annual Congressional funding bill.

Pascrell Announces C.O.P.S. School Security Grants for Pompton Lakes and South Orange

WASHINGTON—With the start of a new school year, U.S. Rep. Bill Pascrell, Jr. (D-NJ-08) was pleased to announce that schools in Pompton Lakes and South Orange will benefit from new federal grant funding awarded through the Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) program.  The grants were awarded under the COPS Secure our Schools program for a total of $24,719.

PATERSON—Following years of work on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee to modernize the Route 23/80/46 interchange, U.S. Rep. Bill Pascrell, Jr. (D-NJ-08) commended the NJ Department of Transportation (NJDOT) for completing improvements on one of New Jersey’s most traveled interchanges.  The ramp from I-80 West to 23 South, which was opened today, marks the completion of a project that will dramatically improve road safety and ease congestion on one of the New Jersey’s most traveled interchanges.

General Rieth Awards Pascrell Prestigious Charles Dick Award at Paterson National Guard Recruiting Center

PATERSON—Major General Glenn K. Rieth, the Adjutant General of the New Jersey Department of Military and Veterans Affairs today visited the National Guard Recruiting Center in Paterson to honor U.S. Rep. Bill Pascrell, Jr. (D-NJ-08) with the prestigious Charles Dick Medal of Merit.

The Charles Dick Medal of Merit is awarded by the New Jersey National Guard and National Guard Association of the United States (NGAUS) to individuals who have distinguished themselves as outstanding Americans. 

Pascrell Announces New Federal Funding for Paterson and Passaic Police

PATERSON—U.S. Rep. Bill Pascrell, Jr. (D-NJ-08) a member of the House Committee on Homeland Security today announced that police in the cities of Paterson and Passaic have been awarded over $100,000 in federal grant funding from the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program.
